What is the Sitges Christmas Festival 2019?

Considered the top Christmas-themed handicrafts fair in Spain, the Sitges Christmas Festival is, as we were saying, a ground-breaking patchwork fair that has been held in Sitges since 2005. And some of you may be wondering what patchwork is. It’s a style of sewing that takes pieces of fabric in different colours and prints and puts them together on a padded base to make a quilt.

Patchwork is becoming more popular every year, as can be seen in the more than 15,000 people who came to the 2018 festival.

When is the Sitges Christmas Festival 2019?

Organised each year by the Spanish Patchwork Association, the Sitges Christmas Festival 2019 will be held from 29 November to 1 December. Like every year, the fair will be held in a huge transparent tent, with nearly 1,000 m² of space, in an unbeatable location: Platja de la Fragata in Sitges, right under the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla.

Visitors to the Sitges Christmas Festival will find a wide variety of international exhibitions, courses, children’s workshops and exhibitors with the latest from the world of patchwork.
