As a result of our recent collaboration with the book "No todo es un cuento" —a social project that links illustrations from the artist Andrés Rudiez with texts written by the journalist Sandra Barneda with the aim of "shaking consciences" and serving as an invitation to the reflection about the world we are creating—, from Sitges Groups Apartments we'have started, in addition, a new collaboration with Mensajeros de la Paz Foundation. We would like to highlight that the profits obtained from the book "No todo es cuento" will be totally adressed to this Foundation.

Mensajeros de la Paz, a help to the most disadvantaged segments of society

Founded in 1962 with the name of Cruz de los Ángeles, Mensajeros de la Paz is nowadays present in 55 countries and has always aimed the human and social promotion of the most disadvantaged segments of society.

Mensajeros de la Paz is a secular NGO founded by Father Ángel García Rodríguez, popularly known as Father Ángel. In its efforts to improve the oportunities for the people in need, the Foundation covers different social working areas in Spain and international cooperation projects in America, Africa and Asia.

While it is true that at first, the Foundation focused its activity on creating homes to welcome children and young people, Mensajeros de la Paz currently counts with many social programmes and activities oriented towards the improvement of social and living conditions of different segments of the population (social activities focused on child protection, promotion of the active ageing in elderly people, care for the physically and psychologically disabled, support to female victims of gender violence and their children or urgent humanitarian aid work in countries that have suffered natural disasters or times of particular hardship, among others).

In particular, these areas where Mensajeros de la Paz works are:

- Helpless children protection

- Support to female victims of gender violence

- Care and empowerment of dependence (people  physically and psychologically disabled and elderly people)

- Integration of immigrants

- Comprehensive care to assist impoverished families and homeless people

- Education and development in depressed communities

- Humanitarian aid work with natural disasters or times of particular hardship

This collaboration between Mensajeros de la Paz and Sitges Group Apartments confirms, once again, our social vocation, that leads us to actively cooperate in numerous activities to help the most disadvantaged segments of society.
